Death Wish

“Do you have some kind of death wish?”

At the time it had been playful banter, but now it makes me wonder.

Do I?

Is it a death wish when you push someone’s buttons knowing full well that they could kill you should they snap?

Is it a death wish to live in that one moment of adrenaline-fuelled terror?

I...I can’t help it. The adrenaline’s a drug for me.

You’d think that day at the park would be a wake-up call, but no, I still dance through the fire, still push the buttons...

And...I know someday I’m going to get killed. Someday soon, if Mother has her way with Sephiroth’s sanity.
