Pick Your Poison: Story Time!
I'm looking over drakon's timeline right now and trying to divide this up into acceptable chunks of writing. I've kind of tenatively split up by chapter just by what feels right, and then marked places where authors could trade off. ((I'm really just making this up as I go. Yay!))

(a) Tseng burninates Rufus's office and meets up with ebil!Cloud
(b) Tifa and Aeris sneak in and save Cloud, who becomes badass!Cloud
CHAPTER THIRTEEN : 15 FRIDAY
(a) Reno and Tifa are kidnapped; Vincent and Seph go after them
(b) Tifa duels Lucrecia and defeats her; Vincent saves her
(c) Shera and Elena meet with Hojo; Aeris bonds with the girls
(d) Cloud 'defeats' Seph and Reno, and brings them back to Aeris's treatment.
((Part II could, conceptually, end here.))

(a) News comes that Cid has destroyed Hojo.
PART III :: THE END OF ALL THINGS
CHAPTER XXX : FUTURE

So ... uh ... here's my suggestion. Put your name by something you want to write. Try to take one at a time. If somebody takes something you want, leave a comment requesting that they swap with you, and we can do something completely geeky like vote on it. Also, remember that if somebody claims a section you wanted to write, you can always volunteer yourself to beta that chapter. Ooh, an excellent idea! Authors go in bold. Betas go in italics. YES DORKNESS. Although I guess we will all be beta-ing by the end.
Once this gets sorted out and/or started I will set up a better interface for people to use to post their chapters.
Aaaaaand .... go!

*grin* I haven't gotten that far yet, honestly. I call this "PART I" because it's still (mostly) typical high-school-angst. PART II will be all the nasty experiment/cloning shtuff.
...but I'll put your name on that one immediately. ^^
